I had the fun task of choosing this week’s theme for the Beautiful Beasties 52 Weeks' blogroll: Self-Portrait with My Best Friend(s) I had a special reason for choosing this theme. My Mother is turning 92 today, and lately she has been commenting “You take so many photos of everyone else, but I have no photos of you!” I've been reflecting on that idea for the last couple of weeks and am beginning to understand that I am waaaaaaaay more comfortable behind the camera. And judging from the few participants we have in the blogroll this week, I think that I am not alone in this comfort zone. The photographers who are members of the Beautiful ...
Here we are already at Week #17 and thrilled to be participating once again in Beautiful Beasties' Project 52 Weeks. This week's challenge was to play with the theme "INDOORS". I cheated and went into my archives because this is one of my all-time favorite photos for very sentimental reasons and expresses the theme well. I wanted to share it with you. This book should be on the list of favorites of anyone who has loved and been loved by a dog. Mimi, my Muse Extraordinaire, and I have read it more than once together, and of course this is her favorite spot to read. (Don't be fooled, it was actually bestselling author Peter Mayle's dog "Boy" who wrote the book.)Now take a look at For the Love Pet Photography in Portland, Oregon to see what book she's had her nose in, and follow the blog ring until you arrive back here. See you next week.
